Role Overview

Create high-quality Canadian French audio recordings that help improve an AI model’s ability to understand and produce spoken audio. This remote, hourly opportunity is suited to native Canadian French speakers with strong vocal delivery and professional recording capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Record Canadian French scripts using a neutral to upbeat customer-service style, with clear pronunciation and consistent pacing.
• Follow transcripts precisely, paying close attention to punctuation, commas, and dashes, or make appropriate edits that reflect natural pacing.
• Produce edited WAV recordings at 44.1 kHz in mono format, with less than one second of silence at the beginning and end and no audible breathing.
• Commit 2 to 10 hours per week to recording work.

Qualifications

• Native speaker of Canadian French, born and raised in Canada.
• Proficient English communication skills.
• Professional voice-acting experience is strongly preferred but not required.
• Relevant speaking or audio experience from music, television, podcasts, Twitch streaming, comedy, YouTube, radio, or related fields is welcome.
• Professional home recording setup, including a professional-grade microphone, soundproofing, audio interface, pop filter, and post-production editing software.

Work Terms

• Remote, hourly independent contractor engagement.
• Commitment of 2 to 10 hours per week.
• Availability for a kickoff call is required.
• Start timing is rolling and begins after the contract is accepted and identity verification is completed.

Compensation

• $300 USD per completed hour, calculated from the duration of submitted audio.
