Accounts Receivable Specialist

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, Onsite Compensation: $29-$30/hour Employment Type: Permanent, Direct Hire Position Overview A well-established company in the Lowell area is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team. This is a hands‑on AR position with responsibility for a medium-to-high volume of accounts receivable activity , including cash applications, collections, account reconciliation, and resolving customer account discrepancies. Responsibilities Process and apply customer payments, including checks, credit cards, and ACH transactions Maintain accurate and timely accounts receivable records Manage medium-to-high volume AR activity Monitor outstanding balances and perform collection follow‑up Communicate with customers regarding past‑due balances, payment status, and billing questions Research and resolve account discrepancies Reconcile customer accounts and AR transactions Maintain accurate documentation of payments, collections, and account activity Assist with credit and collections functions Coordinate with internal accounting and operational teams to resolve billing and payment issues Support general accounting and bookkeeping functions as needed Qualifications Previous Accounts Receivable, Credit, Collections, or related accounting experience Experience working in a medium-to-high volume AR environment preferred Strong understanding of accounts receivable and basic accounting principles Experience with accounting or ERP software Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to research and resolve account discrepancies independently Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required with relevant experience Why Consider This Opportunity? $29-$30/hour Strong benefits package Stable, established organization Small, collaborative accounting team Opportunity for professional growth and increased responsibility #J-18808-Ljbffr Partnership Employment
