As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. Job Responsibilities Design, develop, and support multiple Java and React applications on AWS and internal cloud platforms, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, driving a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to application functionality and user experience Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, including Product Managers, and Architects to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements Drive architectural decisions for scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems, and own technical roadmaps ensuring alignment with business objectives Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies Ensure production stability through proactive monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience 8+ years of coding experience in Java (Spring Boot, Microservices) and 2+ years of React development (TypeScript, Redux) Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services Knowledge of EAC (Enterprise Application Configuration) and Terraform for infrastructure as code and environment provisioning Proficiency in GenAI solutions.Advanced understanding of agile methodologies and cross-product team collaboration Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), application resiliency, and security practices Experience with Microservices, API development, and Cloud Technologies (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) Proficient in SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB) Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills AWS Certifications Full stack development experience Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) Knowledge of security best practices including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and secure coding standards Experience with performance tuning, profiling, and optimization of Java and React applications Exposure to AI technologies and emerging tools Experience in a financial organization or other highly regulated industry Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
