Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, enabling a thorough understanding of their needs.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals and preferences, utilizing modalities such as structural family therapy, narrative therapy, and communication therapy.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address the challenges faced by clients.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, potential treatment approaches, and self-care practices to promote greater understanding and engagement in their therapeutic journey.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to enhance outcomes, while maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure integrated care for clients, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to mental health treatment.

• Stay current with the latest research in mood disorder treatment to continuously improve therapeutic strategies and contribute to overall client wellness.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in therapy.

• Advocate for clients by raising awareness about mental health issues and working to reduce the stigma associated with seeking therapy and treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients facing relationship and family challenges, including divorce and communication issues. The ability to connect empathetically and establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds is essential for fostering a supportive therapeutic environment. Your expertise will help facilitate healing and strengthen familial bonds.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential for this position.
