Marketing & Proposal Manager

Our client, a well-known consulting firm in New York, is looking for a Proposal Manager to join its team!

Responsibilities

• Write and design proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and prequalification documents
• Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, including urgent requests with tight deadlines
• Coordinate project details, team information, resumes, and relevant materials in advance of proposal deadlines
• Assign work across internal team members and external resources, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
• Work with senior leadership and technical teams to gather information and develop compelling proposal materials
• Review and improve proposal processes, team structure, and tools, including the use of AI and other technologies
• Lead an initiative to update and maintain project sheets, resumes, and company marketing materials
• Establish quality standards and review all deliverables before submission
• Identify workflow challenges, communicate issues to senior leadership, and implement solutions

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience writing and designing proposals, presentations, and qualifications materials, ideally within professional services
• Previous experience leading or managing a proposal, marketing, or pursuit team while remaining hands-on with production
• Strong writing, editing, design, and presentation development skills
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
• Experience working with senior leadership and technical teams to develop high-quality proposal materials
• Experience with Software InDesign, Word, PowerPoint, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience improving processes, workflows, and team efficiency
• Familiarity with AI tools and an interest in incorporating new technologies into proposal development
• Experience with a proposal library or CRM such as OpenAsset, Deltek or Unanet is a plus.
