IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is a commercially driven finance executive who is excited by the challenge of building and scaling businesses across multiple industries including consumer packaged goods, real estate development, software, hardware and technology platforms. They think beyond reporting and compliance, using financial insight to improve profitability, accelerate growth, and create long-term enterprise value.

They have partnered directly with founders or entrepreneurial CEOs, helping turn ambitious ideas into disciplined execution. They understand how to evaluate opportunities, allocate capital, improve accountability, and challenge assumptions while maintaining a bias toward action.

They have successfully helped build a business through a significant capital raise, acquisition, or successfully produced a profitable exit and understand what it takes to maximize enterprise value. THE OPPORTUNITY

\n

We are seeking a commercially driven Chief Financial Officer to oversee compliance and growth strategies at the Family Office and companies in its portfolio including assisting to build one of North America's most ambitious consumer packaged goods businesses.

\n

Reporting directly to the Founder, you will become one of the company's most influential leaders, helping shape strategy, allocate capital, improve commercial performance, and build a business positioned for a significant and profitable exit.

This is not a traditional finance leadership role. We are looking for a CFO who wants to help build an exceptional company, challenge conventional thinking, and create long-term enterprise value. You will partner closely with the Founder and executive leadership team to identify growth opportunities, improve profitability, modernize finance through AI and automation, and ensure every major decision supports the company's long-term vision.

Success in this role means building a finance function that accelerates growth rather than simply measures it. You will help leadership understand where to invest, where to improve returns, and how to scale efficiently while maintaining financial discipline.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Partner directly with the Founder to build and scale a category-leading consumer packaged goods business capable of a significant and profitable exit.
\n
• Lead financial strategy, including FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, treasury, reporting, cash management, and capital allocation.
\n
• Drive commercial decision making across pricing strategy, marketing ROI, customer profitability, distribution strategy, and margin improvement.
\n
• Build financial models supporting expansion, acquisitions, financing initiatives, and strategic investments.
\n
• Lead the transformation of finance through AI, automation, dashboards, and modern technology.
\n
• Build KPI frameworks that improve accountability and executive decision making across the organization.
\n
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing finance organization.
\n
• Manage banking relationships, audit, tax, compliance, insurance, and external financial partners.
\n
• Prepare the business for future capital raises, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and profitable exit opportunities.

WHO YOU ARE

\n

• 10+ years of executive finance leadership experience as a CFO, VP Finance, Head of Finance, or equivalent.
\n
• Strong foundation in FP&A, commercial finance, strategic planning, and financial modeling.
\n
• Proven experience partnering directly with founders or entrepreneurial CEOs.
\n
• Experience helping scale a business through a successful capital raise, acquisition, or profitable exit.
\n
• Significant experience within consumer packaged goods or another high-growth consumer products environment.
\n
• AI-forward, with demonstrated success implementing automation, AI tools, dashboards, and modern finance technology.
\n
• Excited by building businesses rather than maintaining mature organizations.
\n
• Hands-on and comfortable operating in lean, high-growth environments where execution is expected.

• Thrive in entrepreneurial environments where ownership, pace, accountability, and commercial thinking matter.

REQUIREMENTS

\n

• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience within high-growth consumer packaged goods (CPG) businesses.
\n
• Proven experience leading finance across multiple businesses, legal entities, or operating companies.
\n
• Proven success partnering directly with a first-generation founder or entrepreneurial CEO.
\n
• Demonstrated experience leading capital raises, debt financings, refinancing initiatives, or other strategic funding events to support business growth.
\n
• Track record of helping scale businesses through periods of rapid growth, organizational complexity, and value creation.
\n
• Strong commercial finance expertise, including capital allocation, pricing strategy, working capital optimization, profitability improvement, and enterprise value creation.
\n
• Experience preparing a business for a significant liquidity event, including an acquisition, recapitalization, or exit.
\n
• Demonstrated success building, leading, and developing high-performing finance teams.
\n
• Operationally focused executive who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, executive presence, commercial judgment, and the ability to influence executive decision-making.
\n
• Highly driven, ambitious, and excited to build within a fast-paced entrepreneurial organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline. Equivalent executive experience will be considered.

• CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional designation preferred.
