We are looking for an interim Finance Manager to support planning, forecasting, and performance reporting for a leading food retail organization in Irving, Texas. This Contract position will play a central role in strengthening financial insight, improving planning processes, and delivering reporting that supports timely business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical leadership, a solid understanding of finance operations, and the ability to connect data, systems, and business priorities in a practical way.

This is a 3+ month contract position

100% ONSITE in Irving, Texas

Interim Finance Manager (contract position):

Responsibilities:

• Direct financial planning activities by coordinating budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking processes across the business.

• Serve as the business lead for analytics modernization efforts, including the use of Microsoft Azure-based data solutions and Power BI reporting tools.

• Establish structure and oversight for business analytics practices to promote consistency, accuracy, and effective decision support.

• Drive the rollout and ongoing enhancement of departmental planning applications, including long-range planning and forecast management tools.

• Partner with cross-functional teams during recurring forecast cycles to gather inputs, evaluate changes from prior outlooks, and highlight meaningful variances.

• Develop and maintain recurring management reports used on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to guide operational and financial decisions.

• Translate business priorities, leadership objectives, and emerging risks into relevant financial analysis and actionable reporting.

• Support analytics governance, data management standards, and planning system administration to improve reliability and usability of financial information.

• Provide training and user support for internal financial systems to help teams apply tools and reports effectively.

• 5+ years of experience in finance, financial planning, or related analytical leadership roles.
• Demonstrated background in forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Microsoft Excel usage.
• Experience supporting month-end close activities and interpreting financial results for management audiences.
• Hands-on knowledge of Power BI and familiarity with modern business intelligence or finance transformation initiatives.
• Ability to work across departments, consolidate complex inputs, and present clear insights to senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of data governance, reporting controls, and planning system processes within a corporate finance environment.
