Job Title: Associate, Billing & Collections
Duration: 3-6 months

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of the Accounts Receivable Accountant include processing customer payments in a fast paced goal-oriented department.
Accurately process and reconcile daily cash receipts. Assist AR Representatives with processing of weekly recurring and non-recurring billing and customer account reconciliations. Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform daily analysis and application of customer cash receipts and adjustments
• Research items received without payment receipts with no advices and follow up directly with customers on proper payment instructions
• Reconcile processed cash receipts to the bank deposit report
• Perform Move-out Accounting for customer accounts and prepare FAP documentation to support the created payable or charge
• Process customer security deposits and refunds
• Prepare and maintain AR analysis reports as instructed by Manager or Supervisor
• Maintain a uniform paperless file management system on SharePoint
• Observe and adhere to company policies and procedures
• Provide exceptional level customer service to external and internal customers
• Actively participate in team meetings
• Assist with AR related projects as instructed by manager

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 1-2 years of previous Accounts Receivable experience; a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus
• Advanced in Excel with Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat DC
• A good understanding of GAAP, including general ledger journaling and reconciliations, cash movement and online banking
• The ability to meet tight deadlines and willingness to work in a paperless environment
• Commitment to excellent customer service
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
• Strong communication, attention to detail, goal oriented, problem solving and analytical skills
• Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency
• Experience with Yardi is a plus
• Experience in a real estate environment is preferred but not required
