Community Sales Manager (CSMT)

Job Overview We're seeking Community Sales Managers (CSMs) to join our dynamic sales force. Whether you’re a seasoned home sales professional or new to the industry, we provide the tools and training you need to excel. All Community Sales Managers begin as Community Sales Managers in Training (CSMT). The program length ranges from 2 weeks to a full year and is tailored to your background, experience, and abilities. We’re looking for motivated individuals ready to grow with us and deliver exceptional customer experiences throughout the home‑buying process. Responsibilities Participate in training sessions covering our homes and communities, finance as a sales tool, purchase agreements, and the use of our CRM for prospecting. Shadow experienced CSMs to observe best practices and gain practical insights into the sales process. Complete assigned reading materials, online courses, and other training activities to enhance sales skills. Learn about product features and benefits, and understand how our offerings fulfill customer needs and solve pain points. Demonstrate proficiency in articulating product/service value propositions to potential customers. Learn and practice sales techniques including prospecting, presenting solutions, handling objections, and closing deals. Practice effective communication, active listening, and negotiation skills to secure favorable outcomes for both the customer and the company. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, follow up on prospects, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly. Utilize CRM tools to track interactions and manage accounts. Participate in regular performance evaluations and feedback sessions with mentors or supervisors; set goals and track progress towards personal development. Show a proactive approach to continuous learning and skill enhancement. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Active real estate license required where applicable by state. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet browsers. High level of organizational and documentation skills. Customer‑service orientation; belief that the customer is a number one priority. Ability to stay flexible, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem‑solving skills. Non‑exempt FLSA status; required to keep a time record and eligible for overtime pay. Essential Functions Report to the Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule. Access, input, and retrieve information from a computer or electronic device. Conduct face‑to‑face conversations with customers, coworkers, and higher‑level managers. Sit or stand for long periods and move around the work environment as needed. Operate a motor vehicle if applicable. Comply with company policies and procedures. Physical Demands Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 50% of the time. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
