To help aid in the creation of this new casino culture, Parkwest Bicycle Casino is looking to hire a security guard. Our Security Guards are responsible for providing a safe environment by ensuring the security of the casino, employees and the guests. A successful Security Guard will possess keen observation skills and understand the basic card room games while demonstrating a high level of customer service to various personality types from multiple cultures.ResponsibilitiesEnsures the protection of Parkwest Bicycle Casino property and assets and the safety of customers and team members from his/her changing during the shift.Makes timely notification to the supervisor of any observation or incident, which may be inimical to the interests of Parkwest Bicycle Casino.Participates in completing box pull, ensuring that it is done efficiently and accurately and in a timely manner.Responds to customer and team member requests for service in a professional and courteous manner.Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by telephone and over the radio.Has a thorough knowledge of emergency and safety procedures.Must be available to work any shift including weekends and holidays and overtime when necessary.General knowledge of California criminal laws and security procedures.Possess all current permits.Other job related duties as assigned.QualificationsMust be 21 years plus of age.Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background and drug test.Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge or license.Must understand the limits of California penal code 832 and how it applies to Security/Surveillance Officers.Must be able to meet state/county-licensing requirements for casino security officers as well as any applicable state and county and municipal licensing requirements for security officers.Must possess or have the ability to gain a valid California Guard Card.Must possess a valid California Driver's license.Must be able to maintain professional composure in urgent or tense situations.Must wear uniform as directed.Must posses strong conflict resolution skills in dealing with customers and employees.Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.Excellent verbal communication skills and written skills.Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.Education: High school diploma or G.E.D required.
