Salesforce Project Manager

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid – Onsite 3 Days per Week) Employment Type: Full-Time Client: U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Salesforce initiatives supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex Salesforce implementations within Federal environments while coordinating cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical resources to ensure successful project delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of Agile project management, Salesforce platform capabilities, Federal compliance requirements, and excellent communication skills. The selected candidate will work onsite in Washington, DC, three (3) days per week . Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of Salesforce projects supporting DOJ programs. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports. Manage project scope, timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple workstreams. Coordinate activities between business stakeholders, Salesforce developers, architects, business analysts, QA teams, and leadership. Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Track project progress using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar project management tools. Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues. Ensure all deliverables meet Federal security, quality, and compliance standards. Manage communications with executive leadership and provide regular project status updates. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment activities, and production releases. Support change management, training coordination, and organizational adoption efforts. Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with Federal stakeholders to prioritize requirements and align project objectives with mission needs. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 7 years of project management experience , including 5+ years managing Salesforce projects . Experience managing Salesforce implementations within a Federal Government environment. Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Experience managing technical teams consisting of developers, architects, administrators, QA analysts, and business analysts. Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and platform capabilities. Strong understanding of Salesforce development lifecycle and release management. Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar project management tools. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Federal environment. Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust or successfully pass a Federal background investigation, including a financial history review. Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or SAFe certification. Salesforce Administrator Certification or other Salesforce certification. Experience supporting Department of Justice (DOJ) or other Federal Civilian agencies. Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud or Government Cloud Plus. Knowledge of Copado, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
