Associate Data Scientist I

Associate Data Scientist I supporting the Global Research, Informatics & Platform Solutions team at AbbVie. The role involves building data visualizations, integrating complex multi-platform datasets, and collaborating with discovery scientists to optimize research and development efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with discovery teams to understand workflows and gather data requirements
- Design and implement solutions integrating and visualizing omics, biomarker, and preclinical safety data
- Support scientists with dashboard development and technical troubleshooting
- Demonstrate proficiency in Python, SQL, and data integration technologies
- Document data flows and present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, biology, or equivalent field
- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with data visualization tools like Spotfire
- Understanding of software development processes and CI/CD tools
- Knowledge of modern data science and AI techniques
- Excellent cross-functional communication and technical documentation skills
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects with competing timelines
