Position Overview:
MLR Healthcare is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accurate results, and supporting high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex laboratory tests and analyses in microbiology, hematology, chemistry, and blood banking.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results by following established protocols and quality control measures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and recommend additional testing when appropriate.
- Document all procedures and results in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff and students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or equivalent from a recognized certifying body (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality assurance practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
