Accounting Lead

Our client is a fast-growing, innovative fintech startup that is building a payment platform redefining how money moves globally across quickly growing marketplaces. This is an opportunity to work alongside senior leaders and build an accounting function from the ground-up. This role gives the opportunity for full ownership, working closely with ambitious founders, and help shape a product used by firms around the world. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the company’s core finance and accounting operations, leading month‑end close, reconciliations, and general ledger activities. You’ll build and document accounting policies from the ground up, implement strong internal controls, and help prepare the company for external audits. As the company scales, you’ll play a critical role in selecting and implementing accounting tools and ERP systems that streamline operations. You’ll also partner closely with leadership on budgeting and forecasting, while driving smarter expense and cost management across the business. Requirements: CPA strongly preferred (or actively pursuing) 3-5+ YOE at a Big 4 accounting firm working with tech or high-growth clients or experience with or passion for crypto, digital payments, or Web3 Strong technical accounting skills (revenue recognition and complex transactions) Experience implementing accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct) Bonus: Prior experience with digital asset accounting, payment processing companies, or fintech startups #J-18808-Ljbffr Selby Jennings
