Location: Jacksonville, FL
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, In Office
Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 annually

Position Summary

Aqua Gulf Xpress is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our Jacksonville Operations team.

This role is responsible for coordinating driver activity, monitoring transportation operations, and ensuring the timely execution of pickups and deliveries. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to make sound decisions in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers to meet customer and operational requirements.
• Monitor vehicle locations, driver activity, and transportation performance throughout the day.
• Track and ensure on-time pickups and deliveries .
• Proactively identify and resolve service disruptions, delays, and operational issues .
• Maintain communication with key internal stakeholders, including:
  • Operations
  • Business Partner Managers
  • Drivers
  • Customer Service
  • Warehousing
  • Other related departments
• Accurately maintain dispatch and transportation records.
• Support operational efficiency through effective planning and coordination.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced computer and technical proficiency
• Strong ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Creative problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics Management , or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations
• Previous experience as a Dispatcher, Load Planner, Transportation Coordinator, or similar role
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and industry best practices
• Experience supporting transportation operations in a fast-paced environment
