Our client is a premier PI and med mal firm in South Brooklyn hiring an associate litigation attorney with at least 2 years of experience to manage cases from inception through resolution or trial.

You’ll be in court, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and building files that are truly trial-ready.

What You'll Work On

Complex plaintiff-side matters where the details – and your advocacy – really matter:

• Personal injury cases
• Medical malpractice cases
• Litigation from intake through trial/settlement
• Contested motion practice
• High-stakes discovery disputes
• Depositions of parties, experts, and fact witnesses
• Court conferences, hearings, and oral arguments
• Arbitrations, mediations, and trials

This is hands-on litigation, not a back-office writing role.

What You'll Be Doing

• Handling all phases of litigation from inception through resolution or trial
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
• Conducting legal research and developing case strategy
• Managing written and document discovery
• Taking and defending depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses
• Appearing in court for conferences, hearings, and oral arguments
• Participating in arbitrations, mediations, and trials
• Communicating regularly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses
• Maintaining organized case files and tracking deadlines
• Ensuring compliance with all court rules and procedural requirements

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active admission in good standing with the New York State Bar
• Minimum 2 years of litigation experience
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail
• Extremely organized and able to manage multiple cases
• Genuine desire to do trial work
• Admission to New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania Bar a plus
• Admission to Federal Court a plus
• Trial experience a plus

You’re a plaintiff-side litigator who already knows your way around New York courts and wants even more courtroom time. You’re comfortable drafting and arguing motions, taking depositions, and owning a file instead of just supporting someone else’s.

If you’ve already second-chaired or first-chaired portions of trials, handled complex discovery, and managed serious injury or med mal cases, you’ll stand out here.

Important Requirements
