Accounts Payable Clerk

Accounts Payable Clerk LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's team in Western Nassau County. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for pulling vendor invoices and expenses and ensuring timely payments. The ideal candidate will possess strong data entry skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position is onsite Monday through Friday and is a leave coverage but could lead to a possible permanent hire. Salary $26-$28 per hour depending on experience. Key Responsibilities Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for payment. Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation. Enter invoices accurately into the accounting system. Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and account issues. Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable files and records. Assist with expense report processing and company credit card reconciliations. Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 13 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
