Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Root Center For Advanced Recovery, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices that address emotional and behavioral issues.

• Providing crisis intervention and counseling to clients experiencing acute challenges, including conducting thorough assessments to evaluate their current emotional state and treatment needs.

• Conducting both initial and ongoing assessments to monitor patient progress and inform treatment adaptations based on feedback and clinical observations.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, incorporating follow-up assessments to ensure ongoing support and goal achievement for each client.

• Actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations that enhance the overall treatment plans and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals grappling with substance abuse disorders, as well as those with co-occurring mental health conditions. You will engage with diverse patient demographics and offer culturally competent care that respects individual backgrounds, experiences, and values. By addressing family dynamics, marital relationships, and individual behaviors, you will play a critical role in fostering recovery and wellness.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• An active and valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
\n
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with diverse populations in a mental health or therapeutic setting.

• Robust clinical skills that include psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, and the ability to facilitate effective communication within interdisciplinary teams.

• Comprehensive knowledge of individual and family development across the lifespan, as well as current best practices in therapy methodologies.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who have experience working within a community health clinic or similar environment, and those who have specialized training in substance abuse treatment and family therapy modalities. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and documentation systems is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
