Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients during initial sessions to determine their mental health status and therapy needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and the unique circumstances of each client.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions—both individual and group modalities—to promote coping strategies and mental health improvement.

• Utilize various therapeutic models, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches, to assist clients in overcoming challenges.

• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) documenting clinical progress and treatment updates.

• Provide referrals to additional healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, for medication management or more intensive treatment as needed.

• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and team training sessions to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia.

• Minimum of four years of related experience in the mental health field, demonstrating progressive responsibility.

• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and the ability to utilize evidence-based treatments effectively.

• Demonstrated ability to provide individual and group therapy that is culturally sensitive and inclusive.

Compensation and Benefits\n
