Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Level 3)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 36–48 hours per week | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Includes floating, weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge duties per unit needs | 17-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Adult Emergency Department managing more than 100,000 visits annually
• Treat a diverse patient population across a wide range of emergency and trauma presentations
• Support care of boarder patients as needed within the department
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation as part of routine patient assessment
• Rotate across shifts including days, evenings, and nights, with availability for charge duties per unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (NY license required — no other state licenses accepted)
• Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level I trauma center environment
• Comfort with high patient volumes and fast-paced, acuity-driven workflows
• Experience serving as charge nurse in an emergency or acute care setting
