Company Description New Life Village (NLV), founded in 2012 and located in Tampa, Florida, is an intergenerational residential community focused on supporting families raising children impacted by foster care, kinship care, abuse, neglect, and trauma. The Village offers mission-based, below-market housing and onsite wrap-around services as incentives to caregivers and seniors who provide stable, nurturing homes. Senior residents serve as surrogate grandparents, tutors, and mentors, helping to build a trauma-informed community that promotes permanency, safety, healing, and strong relationships. NLV’s onsite Wellness, Resilience and Character Development Program and holistic approach improve residents’ housing stability, access to health resources, educational attainment, and community connection. Recognized with a Florida Civic Advance Civic Excellence Award, New Life Village is the only community of its kind in Florida, dedicated to reducing the number of children in foster care and supporting families seeking permanency. Role Description The Social Media Marketing Intern is a part-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL. This intern will support NLV’s mission by planning, creating, and scheduling social media content across platforms to increase awareness, engagement, and support for the Village. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting posts, capturing photos and short videos at community events, monitoring comments and messages, and updating content calendars. The intern will assist with basic digital marketing tasks such as tracking metrics, compiling performance reports, and suggesting improvements based on analytics and trends. Collaboration with staff to gather stories, promote programs, and ensure messaging aligns with NLV’s trauma-informed, community-focused values is a key part of this role. Qualifications Ability to develop and execute Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing activities that support organizational goals. Strong Social Media Content Creation and Marketing skills to design engaging, mission-aligned posts and campaigns. Effective Communication skills, including clear writing, storytelling, and professional interaction with diverse audiences. Interest or coursework in marketing, communications, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field. Basic familiarity with major social platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn) and analytics tools. Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced community environment. Commitment to NLV’s mission and sensitivity to trauma-informed, family-centered work.
