Job Summary:
This is an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) nursing position located in the New York area. The role involves providing specialized patient care within a 64-bed unit that predominantly treats neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. The assignment offers a 12-hour shift schedule during daytime hours, with floating responsibilities as necessary.

Job Details:

• Shift: 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)
• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); active New York RN license and all other RN licenses; EPIC electronic medical record experience; at least 2 years of experience in Intermediate Medical Care Units (IMCU) or Progressive Care Units (PCU); valid drivers license matching address; documentation of travel experience; up-to-date resume including 2+ years of relevant experience; Skills Checklist matching the specialty; NURSYS report with active licenses.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro, cardiac, trauma, or respiratory patient populations; familiarity with specialty equipment such as temp pacer, chest tubes, arterial lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo Vent.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit primarily handles patients with common diagnoses such as COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-operative care. The unit also includes sixteen designated neuro beds.
