Agent Development Strategist - Public Sector

Salary: $211,000 - 251,000 per year Requirements:

• We look for a track record of leading multiple complex, high-visibility initiatives and guiding cross-functional teams from an unclear starting point to measurable results, such as in an early-stage team, consultancy, or similar environment.
• We value comfort working with technical concepts, including reading API documentation, understanding data models and system architecture, and discussing engineering and security tradeoffs.
• We seek a strong commitment to public service and a belief in the ability of institutions to improve outcomes for the communities they serve.
• We need clear, direct, and persuasive communication across executive, operational, policy, and technical audiences, with the ability to turn complexity into shared decisions.
• We value strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to break down complex problems, identify risks early, and adapt as policy, stakeholder, or implementation conditions change.
• We prefer experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production, including hands-on work with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, and prompt engineering alongside technical partners.
• We also value experience working in or with federal, state, or local government, including familiarity with procurement, security and compliance, accessibility, policy implementation, or systems integration.
• It is a plus if you have been a founder, founding team member, or operator and can balance craft, ownership, and speed.
• We welcome a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, and/or an MBA or comparable experience at the intersection of technology and business.

• We own the full Agent Development Life Cycle, taking agents from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and ongoing production improvement.
• We translate mission goals, policy requirements, and operational workflows into reliable agents that perform in the real world.
• We act as a trusted strategic advisor to public sector leaders, working closely with agency executives and program leaders to define success, prioritize opportunities, and shape an AI strategy focused on mission impact.
• We partner day to day with program, operations, technology, security, legal, and procurement stakeholders, running working sessions, resolving issues, and keeping deployments on track to launch.
• We identify ways to expand our impact by understanding urgent partner needs and developing roadmaps for new use cases such as proactive outreach, multilingual access, and long-horizon agents.
• We help shape our product and public sector strategy by surfacing unmet needs, prototyping new approaches, and collaborating with research, product, platform, and leadership teams on roadmap and market direction.
