To better prepare for the future of the organization, the Credit Union is in search of a collaborative leader to join their team as the Chief Operations Officer . Position Overview As a core member of the Executive Management Team, the Chief Operations Officer (COO) is the primary internal leader and a vital tactical partner to the President/CEO. In our agile, single-branch environment, this hands-on executive bridges high-level vision with daily operational execution. The COO is directly responsible for optimizing workflows, developing staff, and driving performance across retail delivery, operations, lending, and marketing. The COO serves as an internal champion—fostering a culture of exceptional member service, managing vendor and system efficiencies, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day stability of our 28-person team. Qualifications & Experience Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on management experience overseeing credit union operations, retail delivery, or lending environments. Track Record: Proven ability to manage day‑to‑day frontline and back‑office functions while directly coaching and developing small, high‑performing teams. Technical Skills: Strong technical proficiency in lending processes, operational compliance, risk management, and financial industry regulations. Leadership Style: Exceptional decision‑maker, collaborative problem solver, and an active leader who thrives in a close‑knit, flat organizational structure.
