Senior Director, HCP Marketing

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Director to lead HCP marketing for the US Pain Business Unit, overseeing strategy and execution for the launch of JOURNAVX. The role requires extensive healthcare marketing experience, proven team leadership, and the ability to develop innovative omnichannel engagement approaches in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead HCP marketing team of 5, coaching members and developing promotional capabilities
- Shape brand strategy and campaign messaging to drive behavior change in pain treatment practices
- Manage tactical execution including creative development, agency partnerships, and budget oversight
- Direct HCP media planning with testing pilots on targeting and placement optimization
- Measure initiative ROI and pivot investments for efficiency gains and maximum impact
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years healthcare/biopharmaceutical marketing or consulting experience
- 5+ years supervisory or management experience leading teams
- Track record developing HCP brand campaigns and digital tactical planning
- Experience with regulatory compliance and pre/post-approval marketing requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for varied audiences
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation through data, testing, and measurement
Compensation: $228,000 - $342,000 base
