Financial Analyst

We are searching for a Financial Analyst to join our team based in Corona, CA. In this role, you will support month-end close, standard cost accounting, and inventory control while partnering closely with Operations. This is a hands-on, versatile role spanning cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting in support of manufacturing operations. You'll assist in communicating results to Operations partners and help influence decision-making by providing insight from a business perspective. Essential Functions: Perform month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and Fixed Assets reconciliation Prepare standard cost estimates for new and existing SKUs and provide NPI cost estimating support Own and support inventory management activities, including obsolete inventory tracking and disposition, Employee Sale inventory, physical/cycle counts, and Year-End Inventory (YEI) across multiple areas Perform daily reconciliation of scrap with Operations and produce daily reporting on labor, Tools & Supplies, scrap, and other operational metrics Own petty cash and checking account reconciliation Process expense requests for R&D/NPI/production areas Support special projects for Finance and Operations, and assist in communicating results to Operations partners to influence decision-making Additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Degree in Finance or Accounting, with 1–2 years of finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Working knowledge of GAAP and standard cost accounting principles Systems knowledge: SAP experience preferred (including Fixed Assets, inventory, BOM’s, and routings) along with strong Excel skills for analysis of large/detailed operational data sets Experience with or aptitude for high-frequency reporting cycles (daily/weekly/monthly) Physical inventory control experience a plus Strong analytical skills; self-motivated and a self-starter Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills About Fender Musical Instruments: Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) is one of the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturers, marketers and distributors, whose portfolio of brands includes Fender®, Squier®, Gretsch®, Jackson®, EVH®, Charvel®, among others.
