Education Program Manager, Alpha - $200,000/year USD

Not out of indifference—but because you know they're capable of reaching it, and lowering expectations is the true disservice. If that reasoning resonates, continue reading. If it feels overly strict, this position may not align with your approach. Students at Alpha don't passively absorb lectures. They progress through adaptive technology at double the rate of conventional classrooms while simultaneously developing practical life competencies. Your mission is to ensure three core commitments are met for every student under your leadership: a genuine enthusiasm for learning, academic acceleration at 2x speed, and acquisition of capabilities beyond traditional academics. You will also develop the Guides responsible for upholding these same commitments throughout your campus. All choices are informed by evidence, and all interactions are conducted in person. Your time divides between direct work with your student cohort and coaching the Guides on your team—with identical expectations for both: quantifiable advancement, without compromise. When a Guide's session underperforms, you don't file documentation; you observe in real time, debrief immediately, and course-correct that same afternoon. You’ll witness reserved students present with confidence to adult audiences. You’ll see a child who once “despised school” request extra time on campus. And you’ll understand that the expectations you maintained are precisely what enabled their transformation, because maintaining high standards is how you demonstrate belief in someone's potential. You may be establishing a campus from the ground up, defining the foundational culture that will shape the school's identity. As operations mature, your role transitions from hands‑on builder to coaching‑focused leader, cultivating the team that expands Alpha's methodology across your territory. What You Will Be Doing Facilitating hour‑long interactive workshops on life skills and social‑emotional learning (SEL) with students in grades K‑8, covering subjects such as public speaking and concentration, using Alpha's established framework Conducting daily motivational sessions designed to propel 100% of students toward their weekly app-based objectives through developmentally appropriate tools including school currency systems and performance leaderboards Developing Guides via direct observation, precise feedback, and practical training to ensure they facilitate workshops with equivalent energy and rigor Analyzing Coachbot data and individual student records to pinpoint learners requiring support, then delivering that intervention yourself Directly mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you expect every Guide to replicate What You Won’t Be Doing Creating lesson plans or building curriculum from scratch. Academic content is delivered via adaptive applications; your focus is elevating the people in the learning environment. Delivering traditional classroom lectures. You're primarily an energizer and facilitator; if you prefer whiteboard instruction, this role isn't the right fit. Compromising standards in response to parent or administrative pressure. A 99% score means “not yet”—and you'll be supported in maintaining that position. Spending your time in an office managing administrative tasks. The majority of your day involves direct engagement with students and Guides. Waiting extended periods for performance evaluations. Outcomes are visible in real time through Coachbot, and adjustments are made immediately. Education Program Manager Key Responsibilities Fulfill Alpha's 3 Promises for both your student cohort and the Guides under your leadership: each child develops a love for school, accelerates learning at 2x the standard pace, and acquires tangible life skills. Basic Requirements Currently residing in or prepared to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance provided) Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline (Master's degree preferred; conventional teaching certifications are not required) Minimum of 5 years in education, learning and development, coaching, or a comparable area Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training strategies Proven history of managing a team of at least 5 individuals, including recruitment and performance-driven termination choices Background in coaching, mentoring, or delivering actionable feedback to enhance engagement and outcomes Professional experience with youth aged 5–14 in educational or developmental contexts Skilled in leveraging data and performance metrics to inform decisions and foster ongoing improvement Authorized to work legally in the United States Nice-to-have Requirements Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or Business Experience as a sports coach, camp director, or youth program coordinator where you directly inspired children to achieve specific, measurable goals History of coaching adults in positions where performance was systematically measured and evaluated Ability to engage and captivate large groups of children—the presence that commands attention in a room full of 8-year-olds About Alpha Join the team building school around student growth. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
