Vernovis is looking for a Accounts Payable Specialist to provide short-term support to our clients’ accounting team. This person will jump into the day-to-day AP function, helping process invoices, maintain accurate vendor records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure payments are completed accurately and on time. This is a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a high-volume environment, and able to quickly learn new processes and systems.

What You'll Do:

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring appropriate coding, documentation, approvals, and timely entry into the accounting system.
• Review invoices and purchase orders, research discrepancies, and partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve payment or billing issues.
• Prepare and process vendor payments while ensuring transactions follow established accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Reconcile vendor statements and AP-related accounts, investigate outstanding items, and help maintain clean and accurate records.
• Support month-end close and other accounting activities, including AP reporting, accrual support, documentation, and special projects as needed.

What You'll Have:

• Previous hands-on Accounts Payable experience, ideally within a high-volume corporate, manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products environment.
• Strong understanding of the full AP lifecycle, including invoice processing, PO matching, coding, approvals, vendor maintenance, payments, and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working within an ERP or accounting system; ability to quickly learn new technology and processes.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage a significant transaction volume while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to professionally resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal business partners.
