Staff Accountant

POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking an eager, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on-site in Hialeah, FL. This is a hands-on role working directly in support of the Controller, with day-to-day responsibility across core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, order entry, month-end closing transactions, internal controls, and inventory. This is a close-knit accounting team where everyone wears more than one hat. Priorities can shift over the course of a day, and the people who do best here are the ones who stay flexible, step in where the team needs support, and keep the day’s goals moving forward. Hands-on experience in a full ERP environment is required. Sage 100 experience is a plus, and we will train the right candidate on our system. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions with accuracy and timeliness Maintain inventory records and support inventory reconciliation processes Work daily within the company ERP across AR/AP, inventory, and reporting modules Conduct account reconciliations and bank reconciliations Support the Controller with weekly and monthly financial package preparation and analysis Manage and execute data imports into the ERP using integration and import tools Assist with preparing monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP, along with account reconciliations and ad hoc financial and operational reporting for management Utilize Excel for reporting, data analysis, and process documentation Assist with import/export process documentation as it relates to ERP workflows Partner with teammates across accounting and operations, adjusting to shifting daily priorities and supporting shared team goals REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of experience in public accounting, or 3+ years as a staff accountant in a distribution or manufacturing environment Hands-on experience in a full ERP system — such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Acumatica, Epicor, or Sage — including AR/AP, inventory, and reporting functions Experience managing ERP master data: customers, suppliers, chart of accounts, cost centers, item numbers, and location management Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data management) Solid understanding of month-end closing processes Familiarity with bank reconciliation and account reconciliation processes Experience supporting the order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Sage 100 experience, particularly the AR/AP, Inventory, and Production modules Familiarity with Sage 100 Integrator or a comparable ERP data-import tool Experience with a warehouse management system integrated to an ERP (for example, ScanForce) Experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or import/export environment Familiarity with financial statement preparation support (income statement, balance sheet) and building a financial reporting package Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Conversational Spanish a plus COMPENSATION & WHAT WE OFFER Salary range: $75,000 – $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications Full-time, direct-hire position with a well-established South Florida company Collaborative, team-oriented work environment where your contributions are visible Opportunity to grow as the company and the accounting function continue to expand Medical, PTO, and paid holidays WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is performed on-site at our Hialeah, FL facility on a full-time schedule.
