Director of Accounting
Symbiotic Services is seeking a Director of Accounting to support the operations of a leading furniture manufacturing organization. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with executive leadership, this individual will play a pivotal role in financial strategy, planning, and analysis to drive operational and financial excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting including forecasting, budgeting, board presentations, and performance metrics
- Provide detailed financial modeling and variance analysis related to budget and forecast
- Support pricing and costing functions, ensuring up-to-date and accurate financial data (BOMs)
- Perform capital investment analysis using tools like NPV and IRR
- Develop, track, and present KPIs to key stakeholders
- Create and manage complex financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives and operational strategies
- Utilize statistical and predictive modeling to identify business opportunities and drive profitability
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a finance leader with a strong track record in both strategic and operational roles
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Expert in Excel modeling and dashboard creation
- Proficient with ERP systems and financial planning tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and collaborative team player
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics (Master's degree preferred)
- CPA Required or ability to obtain 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Financial planning and operational improvement expertise
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the furniture industry
- Proficient in MS Office, Oracle Suite, and business intelligence tools
- Experience with Power BI and Hyperion is a plus
