The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Epic charting experience is a requirement for this position. Weekend requirements may include every other weekend or six weekend shifts in a six-week scheduling block. All requests for time off must be submitted with the application. The facility allows for one shift to be called off every two weeks. Nurses must work at least one holiday during the 13-week contract. First-time travelers are welcome, and local candidates are accepted based on specific criteria. Certified nurses are expected to manage patients with medical and renal diagnoses. Experience in telemetry, blood product administration, and cardiac monitoring are essential skills. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5, serving both adult and geriatric patients. The unit provides care to those with chronic ventilation needs and other medical conditions. Floating to other areas within the skill set may be required. Candidates must be comfortable using rapid response teams and maintaining isolation precautions. Preferred candidates will have previous charge experience and specific clinical skills. This role includes integral hospital support from various interdisciplinary services.
