Our client in Agawam, Massachusetts is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a contract-to-permanent opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong organizational skills, hands-on bookkeeping experience, and the ability to manage day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

The Bookkeeper will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial operations, including maintaining records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with reporting. Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
• Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting
• Prepare and process invoices, checks, and payments
• Maintain payroll records and support payroll processing as needed
• Monitor expenses and help ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
• Support audits and assist with documentation requests
• Perform data entry and maintain accounting files and records

• 2+ years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
