Overview of Accounts Payable Manager role:
A well-established and highly stable real estate management organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead and evolve its property-related AP function. This organization manages a large, diverse residential portfolio, and is known for strong employee tenure, thoughtful leadership, and long-term stability. The Accounts Payable manager will oversee a high volume of monthly invoices, roughly 10,000 with a team of direct and indirect reports totaling 20 individuals.
This is more than a manager role. It's an opportunity for someone who wants to shape processes, influence how the department operates, and be heard. Leadership is looking for a proactive problem-solver who can drive improvements, streamline workflows, and elevate the AP function.

- Process vendor payments, management fees, mortgage payments, and non-vendor disbursements
- Handle internal transfers, wire payments, and banking-related functions
- Manage vendor communications and provide proof of payment as needed
- Oversee monthly AP reporting and reconciliation activities
- Partner with leadership to identify efficiencies and improve AP processes
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of accounts payable management or senior AP experience
- Experience with Avid, Procore and Yardi are a huge plus
- Real estate or property management experience
- Strong Excel and general MS Office skills
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities
