The Operating Room Surgical Technician assists with surgical instruments in the OR based on procedure performed, standards, guidelines, and policies set for the unit. He/she functions under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and surgeon. Responsibilities Provides safe and efficient patient transport Implements and follows plan of care Maintains a Safe Surgical Environment. Maintains a Clean and Orderly Work Environment Department support for Daily Activities Qualifications Education: HS diploma, Graduate of approved surgical tech school, unless LPN with a minimum of 2 years surgical experience Experience Prefer experience in OR or SPD but not required License LPN if not a Graduate of approved Surgical Tech School Certifications American Heart Association BLS.
