Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCPC at Brightside Therapy Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating group therapy sessions to promote peer support and connection among clients, providing a platform for sharing experiences and learning from one another.

• Conducting individual therapy sessions that allow clients to explore personal thoughts and emotions, helping them develop effective coping strategies tailored to their unique situations.

• Creating individualized treatment plans collaboratively with clients, focusing on their goals and preferences to ensure a personalized approach to care.
\n
• Monitoring clients' progress regularly using standardized assessment tools and feedback methods to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and make necessary adjustments.

• Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals including other therapists, social workers, and clinical staff to ensure comprehensive care for each client while communicating regularly and coordinating treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on young adults dealing with a range of mental health and mood disorders, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. At Brightside, we aim to empower our clients to overcome their challenges through ongoing support, hope, and healing, creating a safe space for open dialogue and recovery.

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
\n
• Active and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) licensure in the state of Connecticut.
\n
• Experience in providing mental health treatment, particularly in residential or outpatient settings, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
\n
• Strong clinical skills in techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
\n
• A collaborative attitude, demonstrating enthusiasm for working within a team environment to foster positive change for our clients.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences would be advantageous:
