About the Role They are looking for a highly motivated Customer Success / Account Management professional to take ownership of a meaningful portfolio of customer relationships and help ensure companies and recruiters using the platform are successful. This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you’ll work directly with customers, recruiters, and the internal team. You’ll manage accounts from onboarding through successful hires, serve as the primary point of contact for customers, resolve issues quickly, and help keep searches moving forward. You’ll also have a commercial component to your role. As you ramp, you’ll run product demos, learn customers’ hiring needs, help close straightforward opportunities, and identify opportunities to expand existing accounts by uncovering additional hiring needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving startup, managing many relationships at once, solving problems without waiting for a detailed playbook, and taking ownership of outcomes. What You’ll Do Manage a portfolio of customer accounts from initial onboarding through successful hires Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, building trusted relationships and maintaining a high level of responsiveness Manage relationships with high-performing recruiters on their marketplace and help them successfully make placements Understand each customer’s hiring goals, open roles, priorities, and recruiting challenges Keep active searches moving by following up on stalled processes, identifying blockers, and coordinating next steps Proactively solve customer and recruiter issues before they become larger problems Handle customer concerns and escalations with urgency, professionalism, and sound judgment Run product demonstrations independently as you become familiar with the platform Speak with prospective customers about their hiring needs and help close straightforward opportunities Transition new customers smoothly from the sales process into onboarding and ongoing account management Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through additional roles, searches, or hiring needs Partner closely with the broader team to improve customer experience and marketplace performance Manage a high volume of conversations, requests, accounts, and priorities simultaneously Develop a deep understanding of individual customers so you can anticipate their needs rather than simply react to requests Help shape processes and best practices as an early member of the Customer Success organization What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Client Success, Recruiting, Staffing, or another highly relationship-driven role Experience working in a startup or similarly fast-paced environment Strong track record of managing multiple customers, accounts, or external relationships at the same time Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities High level of ownership and comfort taking initiative without waiting for detailed instructions Ability to identify problems, determine the appropriate next step, and drive issues toward resolution Comfortable interacting directly with customers and handling difficult or unhappy customers when necessary Commercial mindset with an interest in account expansion, customer growth, and revenue Comfortable learning new software and eventually running product demonstrations independently Willing and able to work onsite in San Francisco five days per week Bonus Points You may be especially well suited for this role if you have experience in: Recruiting or staffing Talent marketplaces Recruitment technology Marketplace businesses High-volume account management Customer success at an early-stage startup Community management or community building Creator-economy businesses Account expansion or upselling Managing both customers and external partners/vendors What Success Looks Like You’ll be successful in this role if you can build strong customer relationships while also keeping things moving operationally. That means customers trust you, recruiters know they can rely on you, searches don’t sit idle because someone forgot to follow up, issues get addressed quickly, and you continuously spot opportunities to deepen customer relationships and expand accounts. They are specifically looking for someone who is high-agency, comfortable with volume, and able to operate without a narrowly defined scope .
