Research Assistant, Part-Time, Division of Research &Innovation Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Research Assistant, Part-Time, Division of Research & Innovation atits Detroit campus location. Position Purpose: T o drive community and organizational engagement by strategicallyidentifying and recruiting program participants, coordinatingseamless program operations, and managing comprehensivedata-tracking systems. This position is vital to supportparticipant recruitment and retention efforts. Essential Functions Outreach & Communication: Conduct outbound calls to HBEC(Healthier Black Elders Center) members for resurveys, maintainingmember engagement, and accurate data tracking. Participant Recruitment: Represent the program at in-person events,utilizing peer-to-peer recruitment strategies to sign up newparticipants and distribute program information. Data Management: Administer intake surveys for new members andaccurately entered all survey data into the registrydatabase. Program Support: Assist with broader program activities, specialevents, and administrative tasks, including organizing monthlybirthday card mailings to members. Newsletter writing: Bi-annual newsletter that includes a featuredarticle on a current registry participant. Identify potentialparticipants to feature, interview them and write the article forthe newsletter. Assist with set-up of events: Organize the registration table,provide HBEC (Healthier Black Elders Center) information, recruitnew members, distribute evaluations. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Required Education: Associates degree Preferred: Bachelor’s degree Discipline: Psychology Experience Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-relatedexperience). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Associate’s degree is required and a 4-year college degree inpsychology is preferred. Organizational Skills Must be organized, professional, able to work independently or witha team. Strong organizational skills are essential for managingmultiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to prioritize taskseffectively is critical. Interpersonal Skills Good interpersonal skills are necessary for interacting effectivelywith team members and participants. Communication Skills Must have proficient oral and written communication skills. Goodoral and written communication skills are required for participantrecruitment and for writing articles. Computer Skills Be well acquainted with the Microsoft Office suite ofapplications. Complete CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative)program training for Human Subject Approval .
