HR Generalist

We specialize in shareholder engagement & solicitation, compensation advisory, governance & sustainability advisory, M&A activism, institutional ownership intelligence, proxy logistics and retail outreach strategies.The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR programs. This role serves as a trusted resource to employees and managers, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and a positive employee experience. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and reports directly to the Senior HR Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations & HR SupportServe as a first point of contact for employee HR questions and concernsProvide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practicesSupport employee relations matters, including investigations, performance issues, and conflict resolution, in partnership with HR leadershipMaintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situationsRecruiting & OnboardingCoordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communicationsSupport offer letter preparation and pre-employment processesManage onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and compliant new hire experienceBenefits & Payroll SupportAssist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and general benefits inquiriesProcess payroll and ensure accurate employee data, deductions, and changesSupport annual benefits open enrollment and vendor communicationsHR Administration & ComplianceMaintain accurate employee records in HRIS system (Paycom)Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment lawsSupport policy development, updates, and consistent applicationAssist with audits, reporting, and compliance documentationPerformance Management & HR ProgramsSupport performance review cycles, including system administration and employee communicationsAssist with training, engagement, and professional development initiativesParticipate in HR projects and process improvements as neededBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field2–5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or similar roleWorking knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesExperience with HRIS and payroll systems (Paycom preferred)Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsExperience supporting a multi-state or multi-entity workforceExposure to benefits administration and employee relations investigationsHigh level of discretion and confidentialityStrong attention to detail and follow-throughAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentCollaborative, service-oriented mindset #J-18808-Ljbffr
