Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

SCHEDULE
Shift: Days, 4x12 (07:00-19:00)
Weekend expectation: Every other weekend

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract length: 13 weeks

REQUIREMENTS
- Active RN license in New York
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience
- Charge nurse experience required
- Patient-ratio experience: 1:6 (must manage 1:5-1:7)
- Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS (valid NIHSS required for submittal)
- EPIC charting experience required

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical and telemetry setting.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, managing patient dysrhythmias.
- Administer medications and IV therapies, including blood products and wound care.
- Collaborate with a healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform comprehensive assessments and document patient care activities in the EMR.
- Use critical thinking to manage complex care and long-term patient populations.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted.
- Background checks reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
