Overview East Bay BMW Location: 4350 Rosewood Dr, Pleasanton, California 94588.Summary: Sells new or used vehicles at a profit to the dealership, while ensuring customer satisfaction. This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities Meets dealership sales goals. Greets customers and determines make, type, and quality of vehicle desired. Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicle in showroom or on demonstration drive. Suggests optional equipment for customer to purchase. Computes and quotes sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, and discount. Completes paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including but not limited to preparing sales slip or sales contract. Arranges for delivery and registration of vehicle. Researches availability of models and optional equipment. Engages in business development. Addresses customer concerns. Maintains CSI at or above Company standards. Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area. Participates in required training. Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system. Follows Safeguards rules and regulations. Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values. Complies with Company policies and procedures. Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Desired Education: GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Doctorate Degree. Desired Field of Study/Work Experience: Accounting, Automotive, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology. Desired Work Experience: up to 3 years, 3-5 years, 5+ years. Prior sales and/or customer service experience desired. Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License Automobile Salesperson License Skills Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Intermediate ability to learn web applications for customer management. Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel. Attendance Requirements: The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays. Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, and sit. Heavy standing work. Frequent movement around the company facilities and outdoor car lot. Environment Demands: Duties performed throughout the premises, both indoors and outdoors, and on customer test drives. Exposure to various work environments. Verbal and Writing Ability: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Commission compensation is based on the value or amount of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (no sales) with no upper limit. Production bonus based on individual or team performance may range from $0.00 if baseline benchmarks are not met, without a fixed upper limit.
