We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Registered Nurses to join our team in a telemetry unit. This is a full-time position working dayshift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The role involves providing expert nursing care to cardiac and telemetry patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical standards. This is a great opportunity for experienced RNs looking for a dynamic environment with potential temp-to-perm options.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients and families.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers.
• Maintain compliance with organizational competencies and standards of practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS certification from AHA required.
• Current ACLS certification from AHA required.
• RN License in the state of employment or valid compact license.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.
• No on-call requirement.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1-6:1 depending on staffing.
• Ability to practice independently and adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations.

Additional Information

• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire and successfully complete onboarding requirements.
• New hires will be precepted by trained staff and participate in competency validation.
• Temp-to-perm possibility based on performance and organizational needs.
