Senior Director, Talent & Partnerships
FlyteVu
Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities: Strategy & Integrated Leadership: Partner with the CCIM to translate FlyteVu's Culture & Integrated Marketing vision into a clear talent, influencer, entertainment, and partnerships strategy aligned with the company's growth priorities. Provide senior-level strategic leadership across key accounts, ensuring talent and partnership recommendations strengthen the creative idea and are designed for how audiences discover, engage with, share, and participate in the work. Collaborate closely with Creative, Account, Earned/PR, Social, Media, Production, and Operations leaders to integrate talent and partnerships across disciplines, scopes of work, campaign plans, and major deliverables. Bring forward audience, entertainment, creator, platform, and cultural insights that help client teams anticipate emerging opportunities and keep FlyteVu ahead of the industry. Establish and uphold best practices, quality standards, decision frameworks, and responsible risk management for the Talent & Partnerships practice. Relationships & Partnerships: Build and deepen senior relationships with talent, creators, managers, agents, studios, production companies, sports and entertainment properties, media and technology platforms, agencies, and other strategic partners. Represent FlyteVu at relevant industry events and in priority markets, including Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, and Atlanta, to strengthen relationships and maintain current knowledge across music, sports, gaming, TV/film, creators, and emerging culture. Identify and develop mutually beneficial platform, talent, brand-to-brand, entertainment property, and vendor partnerships that strengthen client campaigns and FlyteVu's capabilities. Create opportunities for talent representatives and partners to engage with FlyteVu activations, events, leadership, and work in ways that build trust and long‑term value. Share timely, actionable intelligence with the CCIM and client teams while safeguarding confidential and proprietary information. Talent & Influencer Strategy/Vetting: Lead the strategic approach to talent and influencer discovery, research, vetting, recommendation, and measurement across assigned accounts and new business opportunities. Ensure recommendations are supported by a clear cultural and creative rationale, quantitative and qualitative audience data, brand-safety considerations, competitive context, availability, conflicts, and anticipated impact. Guide early outreach to talent representatives to assess interest, availability, conflicts, commercial parameters, and partnership fit without overcommitting the agency or client. Participate in briefs, brainstorms, campaign planning, and RFP pitches, providing informed points of view on talent, creators, entertainment, platforms, and partnership opportunities. Maintain useful, current talent and creator pipelines for priority clients and categories, balancing proven partners with emerging voices and opportunities. Oversee the effective use and accuracy of talent intelligence tools, databases, and research resources, including Julius and future platforms. Talent Deal Negotiation/Deal Memo Drafts: Lead commercial strategy and negotiations for talent, influencer, entertainment property, platform, and related partnership agreements within approved client scope and budget. Draft and review deal memos and template agreements; translate approved terms accurately into long‑form agreements and manage redlines in partnership with the COO and outside counsel, as appropriate. Protect client and agency interests by addressing usage, exclusivity, approvals, deliverables, timing, compensation, cancellation, brand safety, intellectual property, disclosure, and other material terms. Escalate material legal, financial, reputational, or delivery risks promptly to the CCIM and appropriate internal stakeholders. Program Execution & Client Leadership: Cultivate senior client relationships and serve as a trusted strategic advisor on talent, influencer, entertainment, and partnership opportunities. Provide senior oversight from signed deal through completion, ensuring the work delivers against agreed objectives, scope, budget, timeline, creative standards, and contractual commitments. Create a clear handoff and accountability plan with the Account and Production teams once deliverables and creative direction are finalized, while remaining engaged where the program or relationship requires senior leadership. Partner with Account leads to resolve issues, manage client expectations, and navigate changes to creative direction, talent availability, deliverables, or contract terms. Contribute to campaign recaps and effectiveness reviews, capturing learnings that strengthen future talent strategy, partner relationships, and measurable outcomes. Team & Resource Management: Lead, coach, develop, and recognize Talent & Partnerships team members while setting clear expectations and accountability for performance, growth, collaboration, and quality. Partner with the CCIM on team structure, hiring priorities, succession planning, and the capabilities needed to support the practice's growth. Plan and manage staffing across accounts and new business, balancing workload, senior coverage, development opportunities, utilization, and profitability. Select, onboard, and oversee approved contractors and interns; ensure their work is accurate, timely, on‑brief, and consistent with FlyteVu's standards. Foster an inclusive, high‑performing culture that encourages sound judgment, direct communication, knowledge sharing, and cross‑functional partnership. Other Qualifications and Requirements: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of assigned clients' businesses, audiences, objectives, competitive landscapes, and applicable industry dynamics; maintain an active pulse on culture, entertainment, creators, media, technology, and platform developments. Maintain complete, accurate, and organized records within agency systems; follow all applicable approval, contracting, finance, and information‑security processes; and safeguard confidential, proprietary, and sensitive information with sound judgment and discretion. Proactively manage internal and client expectations and deliver responsive, solutions‑oriented service; work outside standard business hours and travel, at times with limited notice, when required by client programs, live activations, pitches, relationships, or time‑sensitive negotiations. Support on‑site activation and fulfillment as needed, including loading/unloading, set‑up, and tear‑down; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and successfully complete a background check where permitted by applicable law.
