Technical Writer - On-site

Medtronic seeks a Technical Writer to develop and maintain Instructions for Use and product documentation for neurosurgical and spinal medical devices. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create compliant, accurate documentation throughout the product lifecycle, with an on-site position in Lafayette, Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain Instructions for Use, manuals, quick reference guides, and product documentation
- Gather technical content and translate complex concepts into clear documentation through cross-functional collaboration
- Create structured documentation using Adobe FrameMaker and manage version control within Product Lifecycle Management systems
- Coordinate multilingual translation projects and ensure documentation accuracy, clarity, and regulatory compliance
- Support documentation process improvements and provide guidance to cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Science, English, Journalism, or related writing discipline
- 2+ years of technical writing or technical editing experience
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker
- Experience with Structured Authoring, XML, and content management systems
- Technical documentation experience in regulated or technical publications environments
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, vector graphics software, HTML, and publishing tools
