Technical Customer Service Specialist

About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a Technical Customer Service Specialist to serve as a key point of contact for customers, dealers, and field sales personnel. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers find solutions, building strong relationships, and working in a fast-paced industrial environment. This is not a traditional sales role. The primary focus is providing exceptional customer support, application guidance, order management, and product recommendations for forklift and material handling attachments. Location & Salary Gresham, OR $60,000 - $71,000 DOE + Bonus Responsibilities Respond to customer, dealer, and field sales inquiries via phone and email Assist customers in identifying the best attachment or product solution based on their application and operational needs Provide product information, recommendations, and quotations Process customer orders and verify order accuracy Coordinate with manufacturing and internal departments to support delivery timelines and customer expectations Communicate order status, shipment updates, and delivery information Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience Investigate and resolve customer concerns related to products, orders, or attachments Support Territory Managers and customers throughout the sales cycle Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency Qualifications 2+ years of customer service, customer support, inside sales, sales support, or related experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong relationship-building skills with customers and business partners Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong organizational and time management skills Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following industries is highly preferred: Material handling Forklift dealerships Industrial manufacturing Equipment distribution Heavy equipment Industrial products Parts or service support Additional Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with forklifts, lift truck systems, or material handling equipment Experience supporting customers in a manufacturing or industrial environment Spanish fluency is a plus Equal Opportunity Statement All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
