Learning Specialist

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring a Learning Specialist to support the academic success of student-athletes within its Academic Support Program. The specialist provides academic coaching, monitors NCAA eligibility, and connects students with campus tutoring and advising resources. The role works with coaches and faculty to promote retention and degree completion. Highlights Advises student-athletes on academic performance, degree progression, and individualized success planning throughout their studies. Reinforces guidance from campus academic advisors while educating students on NCAA and institutional eligibility rules. Coordinates tutoring, academic mentoring, and progress reporting as part of the Academic Support Program for Student-Athletes. Assists with secondary academic and career advising alongside primary academic counselors and coaches. Guides students on course and major selection in conjunction with campus advising partners. Meets regularly with students to monitor academic progress and review supporting reports and data. Supports the coordination of academic honors and awards recognition for student-athletes.
