Billing Clerk

Billing Clerk
The Billing Clerk is responsible for processing billing, posting cash, and performing miscellaneous clerical functions.
Billing duties include, but not limited to:
- Generate and review proformas from Elite
- Act as liaison between billing attorneys and assistants, and accounting staff; respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist with year-end closing and reporting as required
- Process time entry changes and generate invoices
- Assemble and distribute monthly proforma binders
- Daily cash posting including check copying and coding
- Research unallocated cash and process application and or refunds
- Enter personal charges into billing system
- Review daily new matter memorandum
- Pull backup for clients as required
- Weekly filing
- Assisting with special projects as needed
Software knowledge:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge Elite Enterprise, Elite 3E, or Aderant preferred
Qualifications/requirements:
- 1-2 years of legal billing experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- The ability and willingness to work extended hours when necessary to meet client and firm deadlines
- Ability to solve problems as they arise
- Ability to prioritize, work efficiently under pressure
The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is from $55,000 - $65,000/yr and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of base salary at the time of posting. The actual salary offered may vary based on experience, qualifications, or other relevant factors.
