JOB SUMMARY:

As a Logistics Coordinator you will have the opportunity to develop your book of business with our intermodal, highway and drayage capabilities.  You will have the systems and support needed to grow in an ever-changing marketplace.  Your customers will be introduced to national networks of port drayage, transload, over the road and intermodal.  It is a great opportunity for those who thrive by solving customers’ problems. 

This position is required to be on-site in the Buffalo, NY Office, no relocation assistance will be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Account Management — serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned customer accounts, building strong working relationships
• Customer Quoting & Follow-Up — prepare and provide accurate quotes to customers and follow up to convert opportunities into booked shipments
• Operations — build shipments and track containers and trucks from origin to final delivery
• Customer Updates — proactively communicate shipment status, delays, and milestones to keep customers informed every step of the way
• Carrier Development (Brokerage) — identify, vet, and build relationships with carriers to support brokerage capacity and coverage
• OTR (Truckload) Booking & Tracking — book and track over-the-road truckload shipments, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery
• Cross-Dock (Transload) Development — identify and develop cross-dock and transload partnerships and capacity to support customer freight flows
• Market Pricing & Capacity Research — research current market rates and available capacity to support competitive, accurate pricing and sourcing decisions
• Internal Dispatch — coordinate and dispatch loads to Port X's drayage asset locations
• TMS & CRM Updating — maintain accurate, up-to-date records across our TMS and CRM platforms
• Data Entry — maintain accurate and timely data entry across internal systems
• Billing & POD — manage billing processes and proof of delivery (POD) documentation to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
• Customer Portal Management — maintain and manage customer-facing portals to ensure visibility and data accuracy for our clients

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Technical computer skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of proven success in freight brokerage or dray brokerage
• Established shipper relationships with a track record of growing a book of business.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.
• Industry knowledge of Intermodal, Drayage, Brokerage, and Warehousing.
• Strong negotiation skills and a competitive, results-driven mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and TMS platforms (or a fast learner).
