Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health backgrounds, goals, and challenges, employing various assessment tools to guide effective treatment.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions leveraging evidence-based practices, addressing a spectrum of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management.

• Develop and regularly update individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals, ensuring an adaptive approach to care.

• Offer crisis intervention services during acute mental health episodes, employing de-escalation techniques and providing immediate support to stabilize clients in distress.

• Educate clients about their mental health issues and provide guidance on coping mechanisms and community resources that promote recovery and resilience.

• Carefully document all client interactions and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards and conventions of telehealth practice.

• Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines, prioritizing confidentiality and informed consent in all client communications and therapeutic interactions.

• Demonstrate cultural competence in your practice, being sensitive to the diverse backgrounds of clients and adapting your approach to meet their specific needs.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and additional support staff to coordinate comprehensive client care and promote integrated treatment pathways.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse population of clients, ranging from children to adults, each facing varying degrees of mental health issues. This makes for a dynamic caseload where you will be challenged to apply a wide array of therapeutic techniques suited to an array of diagnoses and personal backgrounds, ultimately aiming for meaningful improvements in their emotional and mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• Active state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts is required.
