Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with both Special and General Education Endorsements that cover Pre-K age groups
• Prior experience working with young students in special education, especially ages 3-5, is highly valued
• Comfortable assisting with toileting, diapering, and feeding needs
• Ability to support non-verbal or low-verbal students, as well as those exhibiting a variety of behaviors
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment to a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) through the end of the academic year

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction in a Pre-K special education setting
• Collaborate with support staff to address students’ toileting and feeding needs with sensitivity
• Implement IEPs and track progress for a diverse classroom
• Employ strategies to support communication for non-verbal or minimally verbal learners
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families and team members about progress and strategies
