A rewarding contract opportunity is now available for dedicated Special Education professionals ready to make a meaningful impact in a high school setting. This position is based in a self-contained classroom designed for students with significant needs, utilizing a functional curriculum model. You’ll find yourself supported by two experienced paraprofessionals and a Registered Behavior Technician to ensure a collaborative learning environment.

This full-time role offers consistent hours (37.5 – 40 hours per week) and runs through May 26, 2027, with a strong likelihood of renewal for outstanding candidates. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current GaPSC certification in Special Education with content authorization through 8th grade
• Adapted Curriculum Endorsement required; candidates with pending credentials may also be considered
• Previous experience in self-contained, lower-functioning special education settings preferred
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with paraprofessionals and RBTs
• Commitment to individualized education and helping each student reach their potential

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, adapted instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Manage classroom routines and behavior interventions, in partnership with support staff
• Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining thorough documentation
• Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom culture
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
